Paris was the son of Priam, the king of Troy. He is known for the elopement of Helen, after he was trusted with her by Menelaus. This was the immediate cause of the Trojan War.

Trojan WarEdit

Paris is involved with the beginnings of the Trojan War. He was chosen the judge of the fairest of the goddesses: Aphrodite, Athena, and Hera. He chose Aphrodite in exchange for the fairest woman in the world in an event famously known as the Judgment of Paris. His former lover was Oenone, whom he abandoned.

In the Iliad Paris engaged in combat with Greek hero Diomedes, and he manages to wound him. Afterwards, it is alleged that Paris killed Achilles after Apollo guided his arrow to Achilles's heel.

Eventually, Paris is killed by Philoctetes. After his death, Deiphobus married Helen.
